Job Title: Histology Laboratory Specialist

Location: Atlanta, GA

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Duration: 13-week contract

Rate: $1500 weekly

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Histology Laboratory Specialist to join our night shift pathology team. The role involves handling tissue specimen processing and slide preparation essential to diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

Accession specimens accurately into the Cerner system

Collect tissue blocks and prepare samples per pathology protocols

Perform technical duties including embedding, sectioning, and staining

Support IHC and cytology workflows with timely specimen preparation

Ensure compliance with lab regulations and quality control measures

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a pathology or histology lab

ASCP certified (HT/HLT)

Associate degree in science or completion of histotechnologist training
