Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team for a 13-week assignment at a reputable healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical laboratory procedures and demonstrate a commitment to patient confidentiality, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and retrieve patient data, test orders, quality control information, and instrument performance logs using the laboratory information system.
Process and prepare patient specimens, including reference lab specimens, according to protocol and within required timeframes.
Perform routine and advanced maintenance on laboratory instruments, including minor troubleshooting, and document activities appropriately.
Conduct specimen analysis in accordance with established protocols, maintaining strict adherence to quality control and safety standards.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy and professionalism.
Protect patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
Must hold or be eligible for a New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or permit.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
Ability to distinguish colors is required (for test interpretation and lab safety).
Must successfully complete a pre-employment health clearance.
