Position Overview: A healthcare facility in Greensboro, AL is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate must be able to perform patient handling tasks—such as lifting, turning, and transferring—safely and independently, ensuring no harm to self, patients, or coworkers.

Required Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

Certifications (Required):

  • Current certification with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)

  • Active Physical Therapy license issued by the state of Alabama

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete patient care records for all assigned cases

  • Report billing information accurately to the Director of Physical Therapy

  • Deliver direct patient care including evaluation, treatment planning, and interventions

  • Assist with transfers, mobility, and functional training based on patient needs

  • Perform manual therapy including pushing/pulling of limbs and body parts

  • Report and interpret treatment outcomes effectively

  • Participate in in-service training and facility education sessions

  • Supervise support staff in assigned clinical areas

  • Perform clinical screenings, evaluations, treatment planning, and delivery in compliance with facility and Medicare guidelines

  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary meetings regarding patient care

  • Support community education and facility outreach activities as needed

  • Educate patients’ families and staff on therapy goals and care plans

  • Coordinate with other team members to implement comprehensive treatment plans
