Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer to support day-to-day operational needs and contribute to several key IT initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in modernizing and optimizing the organization’s networking and infrastructure systems across administrative buildings and data centers.

Key Projects & Responsibilities:

  • NGN Site Refresh: Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to upgrade administrative buildings with advanced networking and wireless technologies.

  • Data Center Modernization: Participate in the upgrade and modernization of core data centers, including the implementation of a hybrid cloud architecture.

  • Application Support Services: Work closely with application teams to provide load-balancing, problem resolution, and performance testing support.

Core Duties:

  • Lead network administration activities: equipment installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

  • Configure and maintain Cisco network equipment: Nexus, ASR, ACI, Catalyst, and SDWAN.

  • Provide design and support for Cisco ASA and FirePOWER firewalls, including VPNs and tunneling protocols (AnyConnect, isakmp/IKEv2, IPSEC, GRE).

  • Implement and support routing protocols and network technologies such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VXLAN, STP, TCP/IP, QoS, and VLANs.

  • Collaborate on application load balancing with F5 and NSX Load Balancer (Avi Networks).

  • Perform deep packet inspection using tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and Netscout.

  • Manage Azure and AWS cloud networks and firewall configurations.

  • Support the planning, upgrading, and monitoring of network security measures.

  • Resolve outages with vendors and meet SLA requirements.

  • Document procedures and network diagrams using Visio or Lucidchart.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 8+ years configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers/switches (Nexus 9k/7k/5k, ASR, Catalyst, ACI)

  • 8+ years with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)

  • 5+ years in network security (Cisco ASA & Firepower)

  • 5+ years with F5 Load Balancing (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)

  • 5+ years of packet analysis

  • Experience with SDWAN, vManage, Meraki

  • Hands-on experience with VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer

  • Strong background in Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure and ExpressRoute

  • Experience with Splunk SIEM and SPL

  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing network security best practices

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, VMware)

  • Prior experience supporting education sector projects is preferred

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong documentation and process orientation

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
