Schedule: 8-hour shifts, every other weekend; holidays required

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for conducting diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level, ensuring quality imaging and patient care. This role does not require constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations by accurately positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors.
• Restrict radiation exposure to unaffected areas using cone and collimating devices.
• Conduct portable x-ray exams in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency departments.
• Ensure accurate film identification and proper labeling.
• Process and develop exposed x-ray films.
• Complete patient requisitions and maintain documentation with required details.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the x-ray room.
• Assist in preparing radiopaque contrast media and aid physicians during procedures.
• Provide administrative support, including scheduling, patient instruction, and records maintenance.
• Assist patients with mobility, ensuring proper support for movement and positioning.
• Adhere to organizational standards and ensure patient care meets age, culture, and communication needs.

Education & Certification Requirements:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Fulfillment of clinical and A.R.R.T. requirements.
• Must possess a New Jersey State License and be eligible for National Registry examination.
