Position Overview:

Seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support services for students within San Juan BOCES. This role focuses on helping students develop the skills necessary for academic success and daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist to support students' therapeutic needs.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for students in a school-based setting.
• Conduct therapeutic activities that promote fine and gross motor development.
• Collaborate with educators and school personnel to integrate occupational therapy interventions into daily routines.
• Maintain accurate documentation of progress and therapy sessions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid Colorado (CO) COTA license.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working with children and in educational settings is preferred.
• Ability to adapt to diverse student needs.

Schedule & Commitment:

• Full-time position, offering both 4-day and 5-day schedule options.
• Contract runs from August 4, 2025 for 42 weeks.
• Placement within San Juan BOCES, supporting multiple students and grade levels.
