Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a full-time, 13-week contract in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role involves performing a range of interventional procedures while ensuring patient safety and maintaining the highest standards of radiologic care. Candidates must be adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable with rotating on-call responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of a radiologist

  • Prepare and maintain sterile procedure rooms and equipment

  • Monitor patients during procedures, documenting and reporting findings as required

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to provide exceptional patient care

  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation

  • Assist with post-procedure care, as appropriate

  • Participate in on-call rotation after hours and on weekends, supporting urgent or emergent cases


Schedule Details:

  • Work Week: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week

  • Daily Shift Times: Variable 8-hour shifts starting between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM

  • On-Call Requirements:

    • Rotating weekday call after 5:00 PM

    • Weekend call coverage rotates among a team of 6–7 technologists

    • Includes both primary and backup call assignments


Required Qualifications:

  • ARRT certification or equivalent in Radiologic Technology

  • BLS certification (AHA required)

  • Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience

  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique, vascular anatomy, and procedural workflows

  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to respond quickly in high-pressure and emergency situations
