Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary

A skilled nursing facility in Follansbee, WV is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week contract assignment. The DON will provide strategic leadership, oversee clinical operations, and ensure regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and staff development. This position is ideal for a results-driven nurse leader with a strong background in long-term care management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for all nursing services.

  • Implement and ensure adherence to nursing policies and procedures.

  • Oversee staffing, training, and supervision of nursing personnel to ensure quality patient care.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.

  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and participate in continuous improvement programs.

  • Facilitate communication among staff, residents, families, and external medical providers.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of West Virginia.
