Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: Variable

Compensation: $62.00/hour

Job Overview:

A leading healthcare facility is seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment with the possibility of extension. The role requires experience in Breast Imaging, with an expected patient load of 8–10 patients per shift. The ideal candidate will be a certified professional with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology
    OR

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist

  • At least 1 year of experience in Breast Imaging

  • Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Solid knowledge of administrative and office practices

  • Competency with PACS and imaging systems

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

Certifications Required:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)

  • ARDMS Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures per department protocols

  • Operate and adjust ultrasound equipment, ensuring safety and proper functionality

  • Maintain and clean equipment, performing minor adjustments as needed

  • Monitor and maintain inventory of ultrasound supplies

  • Mentor and assist in the orientation of new technologists

  • Capture and transfer diagnostic images to PACS for physician review

  • Answer phones, schedule exams, and coordinate patient transportation as needed

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations
