Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: Rochester, NY 14621 ( Travel contract  Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted)
Duration: 3 -Month Contract (Extendable)
Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (21:00 - 07:30)

Pay Rate: $3,204/ Weekly

Job Summary:

A leading healthcare facility in Upstate is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist . This position requires strong technical proficiency, a deep understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, and a commitment to patient care and safety.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (HSD)

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of MRI technologist experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI physics.
  • Excellent technical imaging skills and attention to detail.

Certifications Required:

  • Valid New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
  • ARRT (MRI) Certification
  • BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality MRI imaging procedures.
  • Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
  • Educate patients about procedures, safety protocols, and expectations.
  • Review and evaluate safety questionnaires before scanning.
  • Ensure accurate labeling and timely transfer of images to PACS.
  • Maintain and update patient records and tracking systems (IDX/RIS).
  • Keep MRI room clean and stocked; ensure safety standards are upheld.
  • Scan and upload patient-related documentation.
  • Schedule and document exams in IDX as needed.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and call for inpatients when required.
  • Notify appropriate personnel regarding equipment maintenance or repairs.
  • Perform clerical duties as needed in the absence of support staff.
  • Follow infection control and MRI safety protocols diligently.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
