Job Title: Registered Nurse- Operating Room
Location: Rochester, NY 14621 ( Travel contract  Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted)
Shift:  Day 4x10-Hour (11:00 - 23:00)

Duration: 13 Weeks (with high potential for extension)

Pay: $2,604 per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare and sterilize the OR suite, ensuring all instruments and equipment are available and functional.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia administration, and responses during surgery.
• Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Document patient care, surgical counts, and incidents accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery expectations.
• Respond to emergencies (e.g., hemorrhage, cardiac arrest) following ACLS protocols.

Required Skills:

• Clinical Expertise: Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and assisting in varied surgical procedures (e.g., orthopedics, general surgery, robotics).
• Attention to Detail: Strict adherence to safety protocols, surgical checklists, and time-out procedures.
• Communication: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to anticipate surgical needs and respond to complications swiftly.
• Physical Stamina: Comfort standing for long periods and handling surgical equipment.

Required Certifications and Licensure:

Active RN License: NY

BLS & ACLS : Current certifications from the AHA.

Preferred: CCRN or PCCN certification (if you have it).
