Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS Registered) to join a reputable healthcare team in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic sonographic procedures, collaborate with medical staff, and ensure patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is a full-time contract role with overnight shifts, requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general and specialized ultrasound exams as directed by physicians

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal imaging quality

  • Prepare, position, and guide patients through procedures with clear communication and compassion

  • Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality, making adjustments as needed

  • Assist with ultrasound-guided interventional procedures when required

  • Accurately document procedures and input patient data into electronic health records (e.g., EPIC)

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound suite; manage inventory of supplies

  • Comply with all infection control and patient safety protocols

  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as per facility schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification by ARDMS – Required

  • Minimum of 1 year of general ultrasound experience in a hospital or clinical setting

  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sonographic techniques

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a collaborative healthcare environment

  • Proficient with hospital systems and electronic medical records (EMR); EPIC experience preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Preferred
