Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hyannis, MA
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift

Compensation:

  • Travel RNs: $2,800/week

  • Local RNs: $2,520/week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Hyannis, MA. This role is ideal for a highly skilled nurse who thrives in high-acuity settings and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care during overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered emergency care utilizing the nursing process

  • Perform assessments, develop individualized care plans, and document interventions and outcomes

  • Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effects and potential adverse reactions

  • Provide clinical leadership, including charge nurse duties and precepting new staff

  • Utilize Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate, real-time documentation

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health maintenance

  • Promote patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols

  • Participate in unit-based meetings, emergency preparedness drills, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and hospital policy compliance

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts RN license

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

  • TNCC certification required (or completion during orientation)

  • ENPC preferred

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred

  • Recent (within 2 years) emergency department or acute care experience

  • Proficient in IV insertion, ventilator management, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration

  • Completion of a certified de-escalation training course (or to be completed during orientation)
