Job Title: Banner Technical Analyst
Location: Remote
Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Banner Technical Analyst to support ongoing ERP operations, integrations, and issue resolution for Ellucian Banner in a higher education or enterprise setting. This remote role requires a technically adept professional who is comfortable working independently and capable of managing both routine maintenance and complex problem-solving across integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for Ellucian Banner and related third-party applications

  • Perform advanced Linux system administration tasks, including scripting, tuning, and automation in environments such as RHEL

  • Develop and execute PL/SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis within Oracle databases

  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration and application issues related to ERP systems and associated services

  • Collaborate on development of system APIs and custom integrations

  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps clearly and consistently

  • Engage with functional teams and stakeholders to identify and implement technical solutions

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with Ellucian Banner ERP

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database querying

  • Strong background in Linux system administration, especially in enterprise or higher education environments

  • Familiarity with ERP data structures, APIs, and system integrations

  • Experience troubleshooting and supporting Banner and connected third-party applications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Ellucian Solution Manager (ESM) and complex Banner upgrade management

  • Experience with Ethos Integration and Ellucian SaaS solutions

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)

  • Experience with third-party systems commonly used in higher education, such as:

    • Automic/UC4

    • Degree Works

    • Slate

  • Experience using Eclipse IDE for Banner development/customizations

  • Knowledge of identity management systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, and SAML integrations

  • Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates within Banner environments
