Schedule: 40 hours/week
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

$50/Hourly (local), $59.57/Hourly (Travel)

Call Requirements:

• No call or weekend shifts during the first contract
• One weekend shift with 8 hours of backup call during the second contract
• One weekend shift with 8 hours of backup call and 8 hours of overnight call for third and future contracts

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative operating room team. This role involves supporting surgical procedures under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse, ensuring the highest standards of sterility, safety, and patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments, equipment, and solutions
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing supplies
• Ensure proper handling, labeling, and disposal of specimens
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
• Support patient positioning, safety, and transport before and after procedures
• Adhere to all infection control and hospital policies
• Participate in restocking, equipment updates, and unit meetings
• Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence with all staff and patients

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Operating Room/Surgical Technician program (civilian or military)
• Certification by a recognized body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (recognized by the American College of Surgeons and Association of Surgical Technologists)
• AHA BLS certification 
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
