Job Title: Director of Nursing

Shift: Day Shift (1st Shift)
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Pay Rate: $55 – $60 per hour
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) for an 8-week contract assignment at a skilled nursing facility located in Follansbee, WV. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, manage daily nursing operations, and uphold the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.
Lead and manage the nursing department’s daily operations
Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care to all residents
Oversee staff scheduling, performance management, and professional development
Collaborate effectively with medical providers, interdisciplinary teams, and administrative leadership
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures
Respond to on-call needs as necessary
Current and valid RN license (West Virginia or compact state)
Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a nursing role, ideally within long-term care or rehabilitation settings
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure or emergency situations
Flexibility and availability for on-call duties as needed
