Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Hackensack, Perth Amboy & Manahawkin, NJ
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks (High potential for extension)

Compensation: $1,800 – $2,400 weekly gross

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. This includes performing assessments, developing care plans, carrying out interventions, and documenting care outcomes. The nurse will be a crucial part of the healthcare team, supporting safe and evidence-based maternity care practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient-specific needs.

  • Assess patient conditions, prioritize care, and perform evaluations throughout the labor and delivery process.

  • Create and coordinate individualized care plans through continuous assessment.

  • Initiate assessments aligned with patient concerns, medical diagnoses, and nursing frameworks.

  • Execute therapeutic nursing interventions to support patient outcomes.

  • Manage the overall care of laboring and postpartum patients.

  • Accurately document all nursing care in accordance with standards and policies.

  • Promote evidence-based practices and advocate for clinical excellence.

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with the organization’s nursing care model.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery and critical care nursing.

  • Proficient in managing patients during all stages of labor and postpartum care.

  • Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, and communication skills.

Certifications (Must be active prior to start):

  • Valid New Jersey RN license or a multi-state compact license

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)
