Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Public Safety / 911 Systems
Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid)

A major public initiative in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in public safety and emergency communication systems. This role involves overseeing mission-critical projects supporting 911 infrastructure and related technologies. Candidates with prior experience managing high-impact government or public sector technology projects—particularly those involving New York-based agencies—are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle project management for public safety and 911 technology initiatives

  • Coordinate across emergency response departments (Police, Fire, EMS), internal IT teams, and third-party vendors

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestone tracking

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and public safety compliance standards

  • Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and escalation procedures

  • Foster collaboration among technical and operational stakeholders

  • Provide clear and consistent reporting to leadership, including status updates, presentations, and documentation

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of project management experience, with a focus on public safety or emergency communication systems

  • Demonstrated success managing 911 systems, emergency communications infrastructure, or public safety IT platforms

  • Prior experience working with or within New York-based public sector agencies is highly preferred

  • Proficient in project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), NG911, or radio network technologies

  • Experience with government contracting, procurement, and vendor oversight

  • Familiarity with public safety frameworks and regulatory requirements in New York State
