Job Title: Radiologic Technologist – CT
Location: Syracuse, NY
Department: Radiology
Shift: Evening (5 shifts/week, 8 hours per shift)

Compensation:

  • Local Candidates: $85/hour

  • Travel Candidates: $100/hour

Qualifications:

  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

  • Valid New York State (NYS) radiologic technologist license and registration

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in CT or MRI imaging

  • Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist – CT to perform high-quality CT and radiographic imaging studies under the supervision of radiologists. This role requires technical expertise, strong patient interaction skills, and adherence to established imaging protocols and safety standards to ensure optimal patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT and radiographic procedures as ordered by medical staff

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring comfort and proper technique

  • Explain procedures clearly to patients and answer questions to reduce anxiety

  • Operate imaging equipment, making necessary adjustments for quality imaging

  • Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed for both patients and staff

  • Accurately document exams and patient information in the Radiology Information System (RIS)

  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly and follow up as needed

  • Comply with departmental policies and quality standards

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in operating CT and general radiography equipment

  • Solid understanding of radiation protection and imaging best practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a clinical team

  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality outcomes
