Hardware Engineer I
Location: Waukesha, WI (Onsite only)

Job Description:
This role involves the setup, operation, and maintenance of CT scanners and related equipment for testing purposes. Responsibilities include executing experiments, troubleshooting systems, and documenting test outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain CT scanning systems and associated equipment.

  • Perform diagnostic tests and support troubleshooting activities to resolve lab system issues.

  • Assist lead technicians in hardware and software evaluations.

  • Support productivity, safety, cost, and quality initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, and service teams.

  • Aid in the handling and movement of CT scanner components.

  • Utilize Linux or equivalent operating systems for testing and configuration.

  • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Management System (QMS) protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with a minimum of 3 years of technical experience in hardware/software system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with laboratory tools and prototype fixture construction.

  • Ability to follow complex technical procedures with attention to detail.

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Availability for full-time, onsite 1st shift work, with flexibility to cover 2nd shift as needed (40 hours/week).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in manufacturing or servicing CT or other imaging systems.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade show setups and equipment installations.

  • Strong troubleshooting abilities at the system level using analytical problem-solving techniques.

  • Ability to analyze test data and implement solutions to improve design or processes.

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
