Position Overview:

A global biopharmaceutical organization is seeking a Medical Writer – Life Sciences II to join its Global Scientific & Value Content (GSVC) team. This contract role supports the development of scientific and value-based resources used by Field Medical and Global Medical Information teams. The position is open to candidates willing to work onsite in either Rahway, NJ or Upper Gwynedd, PA, with flexibility for a hybrid or 100% remote arrangement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support creation and maintenance of GSVC resources (e.g., slide decks, Medical Information Letters, Verbal Response Documents, infographics) aligned with annual content plans.

  • Review materials for scientific accuracy, compliance, and consistency with internal standards and literature.

  • Assist in evaluating and improving the design and delivery of GSVC content across multiple formats.

  • Advocate for evolving customer needs in the development of medical content.

  • Lead and manage individual tasks, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality scientific content.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on content goals and messaging strategies.

  • Explore and recommend new technologies and innovative approaches for scientific communication.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: PharmD or PhD in Life Sciences

  • Experience:

    • 1–2 years of relevant experience in medical writing, Medical Affairs, or Medical Information

    • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and content development for external use

    • Skilled in slide deck creation and digital content formatting

    • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

    • Capable of innovative thinking and problem-solving

    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

    • High degree of professionalism, curiosity, and adaptability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience at a global, regional, or affiliate level in a pharmaceutical or biotech setting

  • Therapeutic area expertise in Oncology

  • Familiarity with tools such as Veeva Vault MedComms

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Experience in responding to Medical Information Requests (MIRs)
