Job Duration: 13 weeks
The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries. This role ensures safe imaging practices and high-quality radiographs using x-ray technology while maintaining patient care and comfort.
Perform a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures
Ensure proper patient positioning and immobilization techniques
Operate radiologic equipment including mobile and fluoroscopic systems
Adhere to ALARA principles and maintain radiation safety standards
Prepare imaging equipment and exam rooms in compliance with safety standards
Accurately document and label images, ensuring quality assurance
Assist with transporting and positioning patients as needed
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging suites
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes
Follow departmental protocols and hospital policies
Participate in evening and rotating shifts as assigned
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license
BLS certification (AHA)
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
Strong understanding of imaging anatomy, positioning, and radiation protection
Ability to work flexible day and evening shifts, including weekends if required
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
