Job Title: Business Architect
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months (Tentative)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Business Architect to lead the alignment of business strategies with operational capabilities in a dynamic, transformation-focused environment. This role is pivotal in designing business architecture, improving processes, and ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into scalable, strategic solutions.

The Business Architect will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure seamless integration between business goals and technology solutions, supporting key modernization initiatives. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this role is instrumental in driving organizational change, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting the success of enterprise IT modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Alignment:
    Collaborate with executive leadership to develop architectural strategies that support overall business goals.

  • Business Capability Modeling:
    Define the business capabilities required to meet strategic objectives and map them to organizational structures and processes.

  • Process Design & Optimization:
    Analyze current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and design streamlined workflows for greater efficiency.

  • Value Stream Analysis:
    Develop and maintain value stream maps that connect business strategies to execution and delivery models.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Work closely with business units, IT teams, and leadership to gather requirements, share updates, and maintain alignment throughout project execution.

  • Business Case Development:
    Create business cases to support investment in new technologies, capabilities, and operational improvements.

  • Technology Integration:
    Collaborate with IT to ensure selected technologies support and enhance business goals and architecture.

  • Innovation & Change Enablement:
    Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across services, products, and operational models.

  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of the business architecture framework and decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Business Analysis, or related roles within the public sector.

  • Proven track record of aligning business and technology strategies in a complex organizational setting.

  • Experience with Salesforce case management systems, CRM platforms, or similar technologies in a government or public service context.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Familiarity with business modeling tools and frameworks.
