Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist – RDMS Registered
Location: New York, NY 10002
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Job Summary:
A healthcare facility in New York, NY is hiring a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for a 13-week contract. This role is ideal for a skilled ultrasound technologist with at least one year of general ultrasound experience. GYN experience is preferred. The schedule includes daytime hours with occasional evening and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations following physician orders and imaging protocols
Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
Capture and analyze quality sonographic images to aid in accurate diagnoses
Document procedures and findings accurately in electronic medical records
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, reporting any issues promptly
Adhere to infection control and safety standards
Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications:
RDMS certification through ARDMS (Required)
Minimum 1 year of general ultrasound experience
GYN ultrasound experience (Preferred)
BLS certification (Preferred)
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule
