5x8-hour shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday, every other weekend), or
4x10-hour shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday, every other weekend)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to perform complex CT imaging procedures, including producing sectional and 3D images for diagnostic interpretation and assisting with interventional procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills and be capable of working independently during overnight shifts.
Perform complex CT procedures with precision and professionalism
Review clinical history and ensure accurate documentation in PACS
Screen contrast questionnaires, review and scan into EPIC
Administer contrast media per prescribed guidelines
Confirm prescription details; communicate with Radiologist or Referring Physician if clarification is needed
Ensure authorization, script accuracy, and coordinate insurance verification
Handle outside study (CD) intake and ensure availability in PACS
Provide copies of exams to patients and authorized requestors
Evaluate image quality and proper patient ID in PACS
Prepare and position patients for scanning, including contrast administration
Educate patients/families about the procedure and address concerns
Monitor for adverse reactions and maintain IV access as needed
Participate in on-call rotation and holiday/weekend coverage
Comply with all facility standards for behavior, ID, attendance, and safety
Adapt care to patient population (age, culture, communication needs, etc.)
Minimum 2 years of CT experience (preferably on Siemens equipment)
Knowledge of human anatomy, CT positioning, and PACS systems
Proficiency with CT software/hardware
Venipuncture and contrast administration experience
Must maintain CEUs and obtain ARRT (CT) within 12 months if not already certified
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA certification required within 3 months of hire
Willingness to work nights and fulfill on-call weekend responsibilities
Prior experience using EPIC and other hospital RIS/HIS systems
Six months or more of dedicated CT experience
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
ARRT (R) certification required
BLS (AHA) certification required
