Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical
Location: Cooperstown, NY
Pay Rate: $58 to $62 per hour
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical unit in Cooperstown, NY. This night shift role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with physician orders and established policies.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor ongoing conditions.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
Document patient care and progress clearly and promptly.
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, post-discharge care, and recovery processes.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit preferred.
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
