Job Title: Echocardiography Technician – Pediatrics (PEDS)
Location: Flushing, NY 11355
Duration: 13-week Contract (with potential for extension)
Shift: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour day shifts)

Pay Rate: $60/hour


Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Pediatric Echocardiography Technician to join a medical team in Flushing, NY. This role requires proficiency in pediatric echocardiography, strong technical knowledge of echo equipment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a clinical setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for invasive cardiac procedures and support the clinical team during hemodynamic monitoring.

  • Set up procedure rooms and maintain sterile techniques throughout.

  • Operate and monitor echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal function.

  • Identify and resolve or report equipment issues as needed.

  • Provide real-time updates and alert clinical staff to any changes during procedures.

  • Retrieve and organize medical supplies during procedures as directed.

  • Follow established protocols and guidelines in the performance of all assignments.

  • Participate in product evaluations and support equipment maintenance efforts.

  • Apply the principles of aseptic technique throughout all procedural tasks.


Skills & Experience:

  • Pediatric echocardiography experience – required

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echo Technician

  • Proficient in operating echocardiogram equipment and familiar with associated procedures and supplies

  • Basic clerical and documentation skills

  • Ability to identify equipment malfunctions and take appropriate actions


Certifications:

  • CCI or ARDMS (Echo) – required

  • BLS Certification – required
