Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist - CT (Computed Tomography) to join our team for a 12-week assignment in Syracuse, NY. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of departmental radiologists. The role requires expertise in operating imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety protocols, and providing excellent patient care throughout the imaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Imaging Exams: Conduct CT scans and radiographic exams under the supervision of radiologists, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy.

  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and position them correctly for the examination.

  • Radiation Safety: Apply appropriate radiation protection measures to minimize patient exposure.

  • Equipment Operation: Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report any malfunctions to the supervisor for resolution.

  • Documentation and Billing: Input patient information into the Radiology Information System (RIS) for accurate documentation and billing.

  • Film Processing: Process radiographic films and ensure they meet the required quality standards.

  • Adherence to Protocols: Follow departmental procedures and policies, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

  • Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists, to ensure timely and accurate imaging results.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Licensing/Registration: Current New York State (NYS) license/registration as a Radiologic Technologist.

  • Health Clearance: Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in performing CT and radiographic imaging exams.

  • Knowledge of radiation safety standards and patient care procedures.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and operate imaging equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
