Job Title: Cardiothoracic Surgical Technologist

Location: Cincinnati, OH 45219
Pay Rate: $50 – $55/hour
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Multiple Shifts Available

Position Summary:
Seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgical Technologist to support thoracic and cardiovascular surgical teams. The role includes intraoperative assistance during high-risk procedures such as lobectomies and valve replacements, as well as ensuring all sterile techniques and instrumentation protocols are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up sterile fields for cardiothoracic surgeries
• Handle instrumentation and assist with tissue handling and closures
• Coordinate with scrub and circulating teams to support efficient workflow
• Maintain and track surgical instruments
• Assist with postoperative turnover and specimen handling

Requirements:
Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience, preferably in thoracic or cardiac OR
• Strong decision-making under pressure
• Team-oriented with excellent communication

Education & Certification:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program OR 3 years of relevant experience (past 5 years)
• BLS certification (AHA) – Required
• CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) – Preferred
