Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Lancaster, PA
Pay: $32 to $35/hr
Shift: 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work closely with the supervising physical therapist to implement treatment plans, assist with patient mobility, and educate patients about their condition and the benefits of physical therapy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring patients receive high-quality care and that all documentation is accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Treatment Plans:
    Administer physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising physical therapist, including manual and non-manual exercises, and functional activities.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
    Document patient progress, including their performance in exercises and treatment, and report this information to the supervising physical therapist.

  • Patient Education:
    Educate patients about their condition, the benefits of physical therapy, and how to perform exercises and activities safely.

  • Assisting with Mobility and Function:
    Assist patients with mobility, using assistive devices like crutches or walkers, and support them in daily living activities.

  • Patient Assessment:
    Assist in gathering patient information, recording their progress, and reporting results to the physical therapist.

  • Maintaining a Safe Environment:
    Help maintain a safe and functional environment for patients receiving treatment, ensuring the proper use of equipment and maintaining patient safety.

  • Communication and Collaboration:
    Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent.

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Pennsylvania.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

  • Knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and safety standards.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
