Job Title: CT Technologist

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
During training: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality CT procedures, ensuring the proper functioning of imaging equipment, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The CT Technologist will also be involved in patient care, including administering radiopharmaceuticals and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic CT procedures utilizing appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure high-quality images.
Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper function prior to patient studies.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals as per physician's orders and prescribed protocols.
Ensure compliance with department documentation policies by maintaining logs, manuals, and charge documents, and reporting equipment issues.
Conduct quality control, assurance, and safety tests, following radiation safety guidelines in compliance with the ALARA principle.
Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use.
Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries, ensuring proper receipt and verifying activity levels prior to administration.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols, ensuring uniformity and accuracy.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
Proficient in operating CT, X-ray, and bone density equipment.
Knowledge of radiation safety and quality assurance procedures.
Education & Certification Requirements:
New York State License (L.R.T) in Radiologic Technology.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and CT.
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in CT imaging.
Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
This position requires the ability to perform X-ray, CT scans, and bone density procedures.
