The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures. This role requires clinical expertise, critical thinking, and strong collaboration with the interdisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
The RN applies specialized knowledge derived from biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care. Nursing practice is guided by the American Nursing Association (ANA) Code of Ethics and the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, with a focus on culturally competent and age-appropriate care.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular OR or similar high-acuity surgical setting
Demonstrated ability to provide culturally and age-specific patient care
Effective communication and team collaboration skills
Proven ability to adapt to change and maintain professionalism in a diverse clinical environment
Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in high-pressure situations
Required: Diploma in Nursing
Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Active Ohio RN License or Compact State License
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
