Job Description:

The Purchasing Associate is responsible for executing tactical sourcing initiatives and providing operational procurement support to help drive cost savings and improve process efficiency across the organization. This role manages day-to-day purchasing activities such as requisition processing, supplier management, and help desk support while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, the position supports continuous improvement initiatives through spend analysis, process documentation, and the implementation of procurement best practices.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review and process purchase requisitions while ensuring compliance with company policies and identifying cost-saving opportunities through strategic vendor selection and consolidation.

  • Identify and redirect spend to preferred suppliers and strategic partners to maximize contract utilization and savings.

  • Manage procurement help desk inquiries related to general purchasing using established playbooks and program knowledge.

  • Analyze spend patterns and market conditions to recommend optimal sourcing strategies and vendor rationalization.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.

  • Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP (Ariba, S4) or any other ERP system.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or G Suite.
