Job Title: MRI Technologist
Duration: 13+ Week Contract (Extendable)
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Requirements:
ARRT Certification
ARDMS Certification (if applicable)
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination
Key Responsibilities:
Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images of targeted body areas.
Prepare, position, and monitor patients according to established imaging protocols.
Explain MRI procedures to patients to ensure comfort, cooperation, and safety.
Administer contrast agents when necessary and monitor for any adverse reactions.
Adhere strictly to MRI safety standards and procedures, including proper room compliance and shielding practices.
Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to review images and ensure optimal quality.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of MRI equipment.
Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in MRI technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred.
Work Environment:
Hospital settings, outpatient imaging centers, or diagnostic clinics.
May require prolonged standing and occasional patient lifting or positioning assistance.
