Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a contract opportunity in Montour Falls, NY. This role is ideal for a motivated nurse who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and document patient vital signs and clinical symptoms
Administer medications and injections as prescribed
Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and catheterizations
Collect specimens for lab testing and conduct basic diagnostic procedures
Document patient care accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Support patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Educate patients and their families on care instructions and medication usage
Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care
Respond promptly and effectively to patient needs and alerts
Adhere to infection control policies and safety procedures
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the state of New York
Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN nursing program
CPR/BLS certification (required)
Previous experience in long-term care, outpatient, or acute care preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
