Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts

  • Friday: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Mt. Holly)

  • Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (CRMC Main)

  • Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Belmont)
    This position requires floating between Mt. Holly, CRMC Main, and Belmont locations based on the schedule above.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and certified Ultrasound Technologist (RVT) for a night shift contract role in Gastonia, NC. The ideal candidate will be proficient in general ultrasound procedures and comfortable working across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general ultrasound procedures including Abdomen (AB), Rule Out Deep Vein Thrombosis (R/O DVT), and Rule Out Ectopic pregnancy (R/O Ectopic).

  • Conduct additional imaging exams in vascular, OB/GYN, neonatal head, breast, and prostate as needed.

  • Assist in invasive procedures such as thyroid and liver biopsies and drainages under physician supervision.

  • Utilize Siemens, Philips, and other ultrasound systems to capture high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintaining clear communication throughout the procedure.

  • Accurately document and upload images to PACS and maintain up-to-date patient records.

  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on ultrasound equipment.

  • Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.

  • Float between designated facilities as per the scheduled shifts.

  • Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service using AIDET communication principles.

Qualifications:

Certifications (Required):

  • RDMS with RVT certification

  • AB or OB/GYN certification through ARDMS

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a clinical or hospital environment.

  • Proficiency in AB, R/O DVT, and R/O Ectopic ultrasound procedures.

  • Preferred experience in vascular, OB/GYN, neonatal head, breast, and prostate imaging.

  • Familiarity with invasive procedures such as thyroid and liver biopsies is a plus.

  • Experience operating Siemens, Philips, and other ultrasound equipment.

  • Strong patient care and communication skills.

  • Willingness and ability to work at multiple locations (Mt. Holly, CRMC Main, Belmont).
