Job Title: GIS Configuration Engineer
Location: Remote (Louisiana-based preferred)
Duration: 3+ Years (Contract)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled GIS Configuration Engineer to support the configuration, deployment, and enhancement of enterprise GIS systems. This long-term contract role will focus on implementing Esri technologies and integrating advanced tools to support geospatial workflows for transportation and infrastructure systems. Remote candidates based in Louisiana are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize and configure Esri’s suite of Desktop and Enterprise software, including:

    • ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro

    • Enterprise deployment and configuration of ArcGIS Server/Portal

    • Development of custom web applications

    • Publishing and managing web services

  • Implement Esri’s Roads and Highways Linear Referencing System (LRS).

Desirable Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Safe Software's FME Enterprise tools:

    • FME Form for building workflow processes

    • FME Flow for automating geospatial workflows

  • Experience deploying VertiGIS Studio to enhance ArcGIS Enterprise.

  • Familiarity with HPMS (Highway Performance Monitoring System) and SLD Manager software.

  • Scripting and application development in:

    • .NET

    • HTML

    • JavaScript

    • Python

    • R

    • And other relevant languages

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in GIS systems configuration and implementation.

  • Proven experience working with Esri’s enterprise platforms.

  • Ability to collaborate remotely and support cross-functional teams.
