Title: Energy Procurement Lead – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing 

Rate: $38-44/hr on W2 
Location: Rahway, NJ 
Duration: 12 months 

Job Overview: 

This role serves as the tactical and strategic lead for utilities sourcing across pharmaceutical operations. You will work alongside site operations, engineering, and corporate sustainability to ensure secure, cost-effective energy procurement that supports the business's supply chain resilience and environmental goals. 

Key Duties: 

• Manage utility sourcing strategy across multiple manufacturing and R&D sites. 

• Lead negotiations and contract execution for critical services (e.g., natural gas, electricity, steam, etc.). 

• Track and communicate supplier performance and risk mitigation strategies. 

• Align procurement goals with the pharmaceutical production cycle to avoid disruptions. 

• Translate utility market insights into actionable procurement strategies. 

• Maintain documentation for audits and inspections. 

• Drive initiatives that align with GxP and energy conservation measures. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Energy Management preferred. 

• 5+ years of experience in industrial or pharmaceutical utility procurement. 

• Deep knowledge of utility markets and contract structures. 

• Proficient in sourcing tools (Ariba), Excel, and Power BI or Tableau. 

• Experience with vendor compliance and GMP environments a plus.
