Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide urgent and high-quality care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting. The ideal candidate is a proactive, compassionate RN with a strong background in emergency medicine and rapid-response clinical interventions.
Assess, triage, and provide critical care to patients with a range of medical conditions, including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac emergencies.
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols.
Provide continuous monitoring and reassessment of patients’ conditions.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional care.
Handle up to 220 emergency department patients per day, including up to 20 stroke cases per shift.
Document patient care accurately and timely in the appropriate health record systems.
Maintain a high level of readiness for all emergency situations and ensure smooth patient transitions.
Float as needed within the ED to Adult, Pediatric, and Intermediate Care units.
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department setting.
Strong clinical expertise in managing stroke, sepsis, and STEMI patients.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage a large patient volume.
Active NJ State Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact License
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Telemetry Certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
CEU – Stroke: 4 Contact Hours
