Location: Bricktown, NJ
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Med Surg/Telemetry setting, specifically in the ER Holding Area. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in an acute care environment. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Evaluate and assess patients’ health status and needs.
Plan, implement, and document individualized nursing care based on clinical assessments.
Perform therapeutic interventions and monitor patient responses.
Manage patient care by coordinating with physicians and the healthcare team.
Document care in alignment with standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
Advocate for evidence-based practices and patient safety.
Provide education and support to patients and families.
Float to other Med Surg/Telemetry inpatient units as needed.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of telemetry experience required.
Prior experience in a Med Surg/Tele unit in an acute care hospital setting.
Education:
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Certifications & Licensure:
Current NJ State RN License or valid Multi-State Compact License.
BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale).
Telemetry certification.
CEU – Minimum 4-hour Stroke education credit required.
