Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry
Location: Brick Township, NJ
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12hr shifts/week)
Total Hours: 36 hours/week
Shift Type: Night Shift
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Telemetry/Intermediate Care unit on a contract basis. The RN will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This includes coordination with interdisciplinary teams and providing evidence-based, patient-centered care in a telemetry setting.
Evaluate patients and assist physicians in developing care plans.
Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs and clinical priorities.
Identify patient needs and prioritize care through ongoing assessments.
Initiate assessments and therapeutic nursing interventions based on diagnoses and clinical frameworks.
Manage and coordinate individualized care for assigned patients.
Document all care activities accurately and in compliance with standards of practice.
Advocate for evidence-based care and support innovations in clinical practice.
Deliver care aligned with a professional nursing practice model.
Perform additional duties as required by the unit or supervisor.
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience
Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills
Ability to manage patients in an intermediate care setting
Required: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing school
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Completion of a Telemetry Certification or successful completion of a Telemetry Competency Exam
Required:
Active New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Telemetry Certification
CEU Contact Stroke – 4 Hours
