Job Title: Radiology Technologist
Location: Hackensack, NJ
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8hr shifts)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week | Every other weekend | Holiday shifts as needed | On-call as required
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in a full-time contract role. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an acute care facility and be capable of working independently in various critical areas including emergency rooms, trauma, operating rooms, portables, and pediatrics.
Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations using proper positioning, techniques, and safety protocols.
Operate radiographic equipment and prepare patients for imaging procedures, including administering contrast media under physician supervision.
Conduct portable x-ray procedures in diverse clinical settings including ER, OR, and patient rooms.
Accurately mark, label, and process x-ray films following operational protocols.
Maintain organized and sanitary radiographic rooms, assisting in the overall workflow of the department.
Support administrative tasks including scheduling, patient education, and record maintenance.
Ensure proper patient assistance and care, adapting support based on patient-specific needs (age, mobility, communication abilities).
Lift, push, and pull equipment or assist patients with physical needs as required.
Follow all institutional and professional standards for patient care, safety, and operational excellence.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Completion of clinical and ARRT certification requirements.
New Jersey State Radiologic Technology License (Required)
Must meet and pass ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification requirements.
Minimum 2 years of radiology experience in an acute care setting.
Proven ability to work independently in emergency, trauma, and surgical environments.
Experience with portable imaging and pediatric patients preferred.
OR experience is a must.
