Registered Nurse (RN) – Long-Term Care

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates comprehensive nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The RN ensures high standards of patient care, promotes resident safety and well-being, and supports the interdisciplinary team in delivering quality health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing assessments and contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor resident health status and respond to changes in condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective care coordination.
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other staff.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and reports in resident medical records.
  • Participate in care planning meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and policy compliance reviews.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational procedures.
  • Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and ongoing care needs.
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care that respects residents' dignity and preferences.

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Experience in long-term care, geriatric, or rehabilitative nursing preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
