We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves both front and back-office tasks, providing a comprehensive support system to the healthcare team. Administrative and Clinical Support: Perform both front and back-office duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
Phlebotomy: Draw blood samples from patients and process them for laboratory analysis.
EKG Testing: Conduct electrocardiograms to monitor heart activity.
Point-of-Care Testing: Perform various point-of-care (POC) tests, including glucose checks, rapid strep tests, and other clinical assessments.
Patient Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments and coordinate necessary follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
Patient Rooming: Prepare patients for their appointments, ensuring they are ready for the provider and collecting necessary medical information.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight, to assess patient health.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
Certifications:
Medical Assisting Certification (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Skills:
Strong phlebotomy skills and experience with venipuncture.
Proficient in conducting EKGs and other diagnostic tests.
Experience in point-of-care testing (POC).
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality patient care.
