We are seeking a highly organized and professional Patient Support Assistant to join a healthcare team in Ithaca, NY. The ideal candidate will provide vital administrative and patient coordination support, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and healthcare providers.
Coordinate with outpatient clinics to schedule cardiac testing and invasive cardiovascular procedures.
Collaborate with outpatient and inpatient services to verify patient demographics, procedure orders, and authorizations.
Reconcile provider schedules with procedural unit schedules to optimize utilization of procedural blocks.
Create, organize, and maintain patient charts; monitor and manage office supply inventory.
Manage front desk operations, offering a welcoming and professional environment for patients and providers.
Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems including Meditech, Medent, and Epic.
