Position Title: Registered Dietitian
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11203
Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday to Friday (One Saturday per month required)
Hours: 40 hours/week
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to provide high-quality nutritional care and support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills, a passion for patient education, and a thorough understanding of dietary management in various levels of care.
Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional needs and provide appropriate follow-up.
Conduct interviews with patients and/or families to gather food history and preferences.
Monitor and educate patients on food/drug interactions and document accordingly.
Interpret relevant lab, physical, and social data as it relates to nutritional care.
Provide individualized nutrition education and record dietary instructions.
Collaborate with physicians to implement appropriate diet modifications.
Modify patient menus based on medical and nutritional needs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited institution required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
For Post-Acute Care: New York State Certification as a “Dietitian-Nutritionist” (issued by NYSED) is required.
For Acute Care: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.
Primary Source Verification – Required.
AHA BLS Certification – Preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience required.
2 years of experience preferred.
