Local Rate: $52 – $58/hr
Travel Rate: $65/hr with stipend
Requirements:
Active New York State RN License
AHA BLS and AHA ACLS Certifications
PALS and NIHSS certification preferred
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced ICU Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity care team in Ithaca, NY. This is a night shift position requiring three 12-hour shifts per week. The ideal candidate has a strong background in critical care and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient vital signs
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans
Operate and monitor critical care equipment, such as ventilators and infusion pumps
Document care and patient updates accurately using the Epic EMR system
Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
Proficiency with the Epic EMR system
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to function efficiently in high-pressure, high-acuity clinical settings
