Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote (Must reside in NY)
Duration: 1 Year
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Applications division in support of a large-scale Application Modernization Initiative. This remote role focuses on supporting and optimizing AWS-based applications using Azure DevOps pipelines, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable operations in the cloud.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native technologies, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Infrastructure teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Ensure application deliverables are deployment-ready with proper configuration and documentation
Configure cloud resources using best practices in AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation)
Implement SRE practices to enhance site reliability and scalability
Build observability using monitoring and analytics tools
Document processes in technical design documents
Work closely with operational and project managers on planning and timelines
12+ years in DevOps or infrastructure automation
Expert in Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines, Terraform, Artifactory
Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation)
Proficient in one or more languages: Java, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Python
Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure orchestration, and configuration management
Application containerization experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Excellent communication skills, team player, and self-starter
Experience documenting DevOps processes and methodologies
Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, ElasticSearch
Familiarity with automating security controls and governance processes
Knowledge of modern DevOps and Agile/Scrum practices
