Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote (Must reside in NY)
Duration: 1 Year

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Applications division in support of a large-scale Application Modernization Initiative. This remote role focuses on supporting and optimizing AWS-based applications using Azure DevOps pipelines, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable operations in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native technologies, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Infrastructure teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

  • Ensure application deliverables are deployment-ready with proper configuration and documentation

  • Configure cloud resources using best practices in AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation)

  • Implement SRE practices to enhance site reliability and scalability

  • Build observability using monitoring and analytics tools

  • Document processes in technical design documents

  • Work closely with operational and project managers on planning and timelines

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

  • 12+ years in DevOps or infrastructure automation

  • Expert in Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines, Terraform, Artifactory

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation)

  • Proficient in one or more languages: Java, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Python

  • Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure orchestration, and configuration management

  • Application containerization experience (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Excellent communication skills, team player, and self-starter

  • Experience documenting DevOps processes and methodologies

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, ElasticSearch

  • Familiarity with automating security controls and governance processes

  • Knowledge of modern DevOps and Agile/Scrum practices
