Histology Specialist – Clinical and Research Lab

Qualifications:

• NYS License/registration or limited permit for Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• At least 2 years of experience in histopathology or a related clinical lab field.
• Strong attention to detail in tissue processing and staining techniques.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Prepare and stain tissue samples for clinical diagnosis and research studies.
• Conduct special stains, immunostaining, and enzyme histochemistry.
• Handle specialized procedures such as eye pathology, nerve biopsies, and renal biopsies.
• Enter patient and specimen data into laboratory computer systems.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and quality control standards.
