Histopathology Technician

Qualifications:

• NYS License/registration or limited permit to practice as a Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Minimum 2 years of histology experience in a clinical or research laboratory.
• Must be able to distinguish color variations for accurate staining and diagnosis.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Perform routine and specialized histology techniques, including sectioning and staining.
• Assist in neuropathology, muscle biopsies, and enzyme preparation.
• Utilize immunohistochemistry for diagnostic and research purposes.
• Maintain and update specimen records in laboratory databases.
• Follow laboratory safety regulations and confidentiality protocols.
